A true tropical from Madagascar, you'll find the triangle palm only in South Florida and lower SW Florida

It will grow to about 25 feet, has poor salt tolerance but adapts to many soil conditions. Once established, it's not fussy about water. No human hazards and no unusual pest problems. It does insist on potassium in its food

As you can see, triangle palms have a unique 3-sided "triangle" shape at the start of the frond growth above the trunk wood

This is a nice specimen palm when used in an exposure that will show off the triangle. The gray-green color is also desirable as a contrast to green tones
