Zone 8-11

Firebush is a fine evergreen shrub now naturalized in Florida and other states, originally native from Central America

Odontonema strictum blooms best from later summer into deep winter with little or no care.  This is a poor man's color shrub or excellent in stately venues as well

Prune as you wish.  Natural growth is usually to about 6 feet tall.  Works well up front in your landscape, or melded with other planting even in partial shade

Decent soil kept lightly moist is best.  After established, Firebush will handle well into drought conditions
